For a forward-looking university

The new reform aims to inculcate a digital culture in young people. Students will be required to take a number of certifying courses in order to graduate. Office software, coding, digital marketing and cybersecurity... students will need to have knowledge in these fields to earn their university degrees.

To ensure the attractiveness of Moroccan higher education, it is essential to modernize content and train young people who are more aware of the technological changes currently taking place in the world. With this in mind, the Department of Higher Education has initiated the "National Plan for Accelerating the Transformation of the Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation Ecosystem" (Pacte ESRI 2030).

This plan is based on an in-depth transformation of the higher education system, with a modern university and completely renewed educational content. To achieve this, the Ministry has joined forces with stakeholders through a series of consultations to be held in the various regions of the Kingdom, according to a timetable for these Regional Conferences.

The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Mr. Abdellatif MIRAOUI, has rethought the "code 212" centers as places where students can acquire dual skills, preparing them to keep pace with developments in the job market, particularly in the fields of coding, programming, megadata, robotics, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence... The center will be equipped with the latest technologies and will be available to all students wishing to enhance their skills in the above-mentioned fields.

In addition, through the ESRI 2030 PACT, the Ministry aims to generalize "Code 212" centers at all national universities, enabling students to acquire digital skills alongside their Job Preparation.
